The data does not tell anyone which gift to choose. It does show why meaningful occasions matter so much to shoppers. Mother’s Day spending remains substantial, jewelry takes the largest share of that gift spending, and nearly half of 2026 Mother’s Day shoppers said that finding something unique or different was their top priority.
